Why use a Subsoiler? If Soil compaction is a problem, a subsoiler may be the answer you’re looking for. Did you know that compacted soil can reduce your yields up to 50 percent? You can use a subsoiler to break up compacted soil and to improve the soil for your crops. In addition, using it to rip the hardpan along a trail or a tree line is a good way to make sure that your water is getting down to the roots of your trees. On the other hand, if your pasture is bordered by trees it’s a goody way to get down to the root of the problem by reducing the chance of the trees robbing the water that is intended for your crop.
